Hooray! (: It's finally P-day and I was so excited! So now I will get started on the week!
I do believe I took a picture every day this week, so expect that! It only took me 3 weeks to actually get a picture every day! Yes!
So remember how I sleep talk? Well so does Sister Clawson. So it's hilarious! For all we know, we could be having conversations at night! Haha! So we have our area split up into Sections, and so we'll work a section or two each day. And working is good! But I look forward to the 8 hours that I have to sleep! It is precious time where I can just relax and not worry about being a missionary, but can just be unconcious and rest. Ha! So one night, Sister Clawson sat up in her bed and said, "We need to go work in Section 5!" And I honestly thought that meant we had to get up right then and go work. And I just responded with, "Ya, but now is the time to sleep." We both woke up in the morning and while exercising just started cracking up! I was so angry that she was wanting to work in our precious time where we don't have to! It was super funny. I guess last night I was sleep talking again. I've been having weird dreams where the mission does these safety protocols and we have to know what to do in certain situations. It's weird. But I didn't know how to react to one and I started talking saying I didn't know what to do! It's weird. We wake up not with weird stories.
Sister Clawson has started saying her prayers in Portuguese! She knows how to open and close the prayer! It's exciting (: I'm so proud of her! And every morning we say the missionary purpose in English AND in Portuguese! She's getting good! (:
IT SNOWED! Like multiple times this week! It's ridiculous. Thank heavens none of it has stuck, but flakes fell from the sky! It's getting cold here! Although today is nice, and all I need are leggings and a sweater (: Ohio is weird. Kinda like Oregon. Ha!
I hit my 3 month mark on the 24th! Yay! (:
We had a Zone Conference this last Thursday, and President Porter came down and spoke with us. It lasted from 9am to 4pm.. Long! But awesome! It was spiritual and great (: And as we left the conference, we all shook President Porter's hand, and when it was Sister Clawson and my turn, he stopped us and said that he was so proud of us, that we are doing a great job in our area. Holy cow! That was a personal compliment to us! And only to us! It felt so nice! We really needed to hear that, and it was so sweet and kind of him.
We went to Kettering Ward's Trunk-or-Treat with our investigator Mariah and her aunt and uncle's family, the Guerrero's. I love them (: All of them. They're my family away from family. I've called Sister Guerrero, Aunt Val so many times. hahah! She's been to every lesson we've taught with Mariah, so we've gotten close. So we went to their Ward Halloween party. For our costumes Sister Clawson and I switched our nametags (: We be oh so clever! HAha! Then we borrowed some mustaches from the elders in that ward. Ha! I have pictures (:
Two baptisms this last Saturday! YAY! (: It was INCREDIBLE! So the first baptism was at 11am. So Sister Clawson and I got to the church at 9am because it takes like an hour and a half to fill the font! Who knew?! Glad someone told us! Well I don't know who's idea it was to have the sister missionaries fill the font but we had NO clue what we were doing! We've never done this before! You'd think it'd just be like a giant bathtub, but there are levers, and switches, and drains, and tubes, and it was confusing! Thank heavens a brother in our ward was there and could help us. Hahah! Now we know how to fill the font! (:
Mariah's service was beautiful! Valorie Guerrero, her aunt, did a great job planning it all! We did the service in the chapel, and it really brought the Spirit! So I was asked like a week before the baptism to perform a musical number for her service. I was SO nervous! Oh my goodness. She had a great turn out, and it was in the chapel, so I had to sing into the microphone, and I get nervous! Well guess what, I did good! Hahah. I was actually really proud of myself. Usually my nerves get the best of me, but the Lord watched over me. So Sister Clawson played the piano and I sang (: The music was "A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief," and I sang the words, "I Know that My Redeemer Lives." It was so neat sounding! I was so honored that I could be a part of her baptism in that way. And then she was baptized and I just bawled. It was amazing. And I hugged her right after and she was just so pure and happy (: Then she was confirmed and received the Holy Ghost, and it was so amazing! I was just bawling! It's incredible to see this amazing 18 year old girl decide to join the church because she knows it's true. Her mother didn't approve, and her dad was there, but isn't a member. And yet she decided for herself to follow Christ and to find out the truthfulness of this church. It's incredible. I hugged her so many times that day. Ha (: We would just squeeze each other. I love her so much. I'm so happy for her!
Then we had Bella's baptism (: She is 11 and she is adorable! She is really shy, but that day she was brave! We've gotten really close, so it was fun to be able to experience this day with her. It's just her and her dad, Abraham. Her mother left them awhile back, so that has been hard on them. Bella's mom doesn't go to church anymore, but she did come to the service, which was nice of her. You could tell they aren't very close.. But Bella was a rockstar! She did amazing! Sister Clawson and I were there with her every step of the way! We helped her get all changed, and then we led her to the font, and we stood to the side right above the stairs and watched her be baptized. It was amazing! And she turned around to walk up to us she just smiled at us (: And then told us how cold she was. Hahah! Then we helped her get changed back into her clothes and I brushed her hair for her and helped her get ready to go back in. She is darling. And it meant a lot that we could be there for her. Her dad was able to baptize her, which is incredible becuase he just started coming back to church. Abraham and Bella are amazing! You can just see and feel the love they have for each other. And this day was so special! Her Grandma and Grandpa, who are members, flew in from Seattle to see her baptism (: Her Grandpa came up to me and asked if I was one who taught her, and I told him I was, and before I could object he just hugged me. And when he released he was just crying. He told me that prayers are answered and that I was his answer. That he is so grateful that I was able to work with Bella and lead her to baptism. It was so sweet of him to say.
Saturday was a special day, and I know that this church is true! And I'm honored that I could help bring 2 girls to this knowledge. They're incredible. They found out for themselves the truthfulness of it, and decided to follow Christ's example and be baptized. They're amazing!
Phew. Ha! Mom! I got your package! YAY! (: HAPPY! It was perfect. And I just love you so much! Also, you're guys costume was HILARIOUS! I loved it! I'm so glad you guys like Duck Dynasty! It's hilarious! Dad, you even had Si's cup! Hahah! You guys are the best parents ever! Really. I love you guys. Very clever costume, you win the award!
Well that was my week! I'll send all my pictures! (:

Aunt Val told me to take a picture with the whole bucket and to send it home to show you how good the members are treating us. Haha! They're giving us buckets of candy so I can gain even more weight! Yes! (:
8. Sister Missionaries who taught Mariah! She's silly cause she didn't real smile in the pictures. Haha. She's a goof (:
9. I love Mariah so much. She's amazing!
10. The six sisters! This is who was at every lesson with Mariah! Shelly Johnson, who is in the wheelchair, she is in our ward and is the best member missionary ever! 11. The sister missionaries with Bella! She's so cute (:
12. Me and Bella. I love her so much. She is amazing. She was sad to hear that we wouldn't be meeting with her as often after she was baptized. But luckily we're having dinner at their home tonight! Yay! (:
Well that's it! (: Lots! Haha.
I love you so much!
